Celebrating St Dominic's Feast Day
Students and staff from all campuses came together at St Dominic's Church to celebrate St Dominic's Feast Day with a special Mass, honouring the founder of the Dominican Order and the values that continue to shape our college community: the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community and service.
Our student leaders played an important role in the Mass by leading the prayers, reading scripture and sharing the story of Santo Domingo de Guzmán (St Dominic). This involvement reflected the spirit of servant leadership, showing how kindness, compassion and putting others first can make a positive difference in our community.
The Student Leadership Team announced that they have raised over $400 so far for Caritas Australia through their fundraising efforts. The donation will support Caritas' work with vulnerable communities around the world, promoting hope, justice and dignity.
Fun, Friendship and Community
Following the Mass, students enjoyed an afternoon of bowling and games at Timezone, continuing the celebrations in a fun and relaxed social setting. The annual St Dominic's Feast Day outing is always a highlight of the school year, giving students from across our campuses the opportunity to come together, strengthen friendships and celebrate the Dominican values that unite our college community.
